Reflection
I did not reach my targets for my English and Science subjects. I had actually wanted to achieve 80 marks and above for Science but I never thought that the paper would be so tricky. My English was badly done but I feel that I would be able to get good results as long as I work hard. I did well for my Maths and Chinese. Though I had gotten 94 marks for my SA1 Maths paper while I had gotten 74 marks for my CA1 Maths paper, I still feel that I still need to work harder for the SA1 is much easier than the CA1. I need to pull up my socks and work doubly hard for my upcoming exams. I will arrange my timetable well and get rid of my bad habit of being careless. I will also speak English at home to improve my language.

Answer for Food for Thought
Is copper a magnetic material?
No. Copper is not magnetic unless it is mixed with a magnetic material, such as iron or
nickel.
How could test the statement?
You can test this out by using the strongest magnet that you can find to pick up copper
materials such as copper coins or copper wires. The magnet will not be able to attract these
copper items, thus showing that copper is a non-magnetic material.

How I spent the March holidays?
I felt very bored during the March holidays as there was nothing I can do. I spent my time mostly on finishing my homework as there was class on Friday. Other than that, I also went to the library quite a few times to borrow and read the books. As I would much prefer staying home to window shopping, I seldom went out. I would rather go to school than spend my holidays.

CA1 Results
Truthfully saying, I did not do as well as I hoped. I did not reach my targets for Maths and English and I missed my target by a few marks for Science and Chinese. How I wanted to knock my head on the wall when I got my results back! Though the paper was quite difficult, I believe I can still do better. I will definitely study harder for my SA1 and achieve much better results than CA1.

Zodiac Sign: Libra
Libra Your element: Air Your ruling planets: Venus Symbol: The Scales Your stone: Opals Life Pursuit: To be consistent | |
Description: Librans can switch off from the world around then and during these periods much more occurs on the deep innermost levels of the Libran's psyche, than their closest companions imagine. Many Librans after establishing a lifestyle that somehow falls short of their childhood dreams, manage to conjure up a most independent life and keep up an image of being dedicated to a "close relationship". They can escape into obscure role playing - and often this makes them extremely successful business people. When it comes to romance and love, Librans can be difficult to fathom yet in business many Librans discover they can not only be creative, but it provides an opportunity to express the more diverse sides to their personalities. Their charm can win jobs and provides powerful friends. But in both work and play, looking for peace and harmony, Librans often say "yes" when they should be saying "no". If you were born on the first or last day of a Sun sign, in astrological terms you were born on a cusp. If that's the case, you will probably benefit from reading your own Sun sign and the Sun sign that ends or begins right before or after your date of birth. For example, if your birth date is 22 December, your Sun sign is Capricorn, but you probably have some Sagittarian traits as well. My own opinion: Some of them is correct and some of them is wrong. I would like to live an uncomplicated life when I grow up but I do not like to daydream if that means to "switch off from the world" . I am indecisive but hope to be consistent. |

Waterfalls
Streams become wider and shallower just above waterfalls due to flowing over the rock shelf, and there is usually a deep pool just below the waterfall because of the kinetic energy of the water hitting the bottom. Waterfalls normally form in a rocky area due to erosion. After a long period of being fully formed, the water falling off the ledge will retreat, causing a horizontal pit parallel to the waterfall wall. Eventually, as the pit grows deeper, the waterfall collapses.

Differences between a Prism and a Pyramid
Prism:
A prism is a polyhedron, with two parallel faces called bases. The other faces are always parallelograms. The prism is named by the shape of its base.
Pyramid:
A polyhedron is a pyramid, if it has 3 or more triangular faces sharing a common vertex. The base of a pyramid may be any polygon. If the base is a triangle too, it has 4 faces.

An Accident on a Rainy Day
Thunder rumbled through the air as white streaks of lightning formed in the dark, grey sky. Big, fat drops of rain fell from the ominous clouds as gusts of wind blew around. I was on my way home from school when it started raining. The rain had started off as a light drizzle but it had gradually become heavier. My friends had all left the school by asking their parents to drive them home. Only then did I regret not heeding my parent's advice on bringing an umbrella.
I broke into a brisk walk as I made my way home, using my books as a shelter for myself as I trudged through the heavy rain. My house was still quite far away and I could not wait to reach home to enjoy a warm, delicious cup of hot chocolate.
Suddenly, as I was about to cross the road, a red Toyota came speeding towards me. Terror gripped my whole being and perspiration started dripping from my forehead. I was powerless and frantic with terror. Then, "Bang!" the car collided with me. The impact was so great that I was flung several metres off from my original place. I landed on the ground with a heavy thud and lost consciousness.
When I woke up, I found myself at the hospital, lying on the bed. My eyes met those of my parents and I asked how I had ended up in the hospital. My father told me that a passer-by had seen me on the ground and immediately called the ambulance. The driver, whose name was John, was drunk and sent to the police station for interrogation.
After that unpleasant accident, I told myself never to walk home in a storm without my umbrella again.

My Best Friend
My best friend is Jolice. She is a very cheerful and nice person. She is also very clever. She would often help me with my homework when I do not know how to solve some questions. She is always willing to help people around her and is always very friendly.

Food for Thought
Questions to ponder:
1a)Do you prefer to eat at home or eat out? Why?
I would prefer to eat at home as it is much healthier and cleaner as the food outside may be more salty and oily.
1b)How do you keep your room clean?
I keep my room clean by sweeping the room and putting used things in the original positions.
1c)Do you assist your family with the housework?
Yes. i do that by sweeping the house, washing the dishes and wiping the tables after my family have finished eating.
2a)How will you help someone in need?
I will try to do my best to help them whenever they need help by understanding their situation first and then think of a way to save the situation.
2b)What will you do when you witness an unkind deed?
I will tell them not to continue and find out why are they doing it.
