the armadillo lizard is a prey animal that preys on bigger and stronger animals.the back legs of the armadillo lizard is slightly shorter than the front.predators are unable to harm them with the armour on its body.

desert tortoise
desert tortioises are made for digging burrows to keep warm in the cold.there are considered a threatened species and it is illegal to harm or collect them.

camel
the camel is able to store water for a long period of time which is suited to live in the harsh enviroment of the desert.it has a transparent eyelid which keeps sand out of its eyes.

desert rat
the desert rat is a cute animal which resembles the kangaroo but is only the size of a mouse.it has a cheek pouch where it stores food.

it is a plant that is able to grow up to 30 inches high.this plant died after flowering

what i did during the holidays

in the holidays i did not really do much.on the second day of the holiday i went to the beach with my family.but unfourtunatly it was raing and my sister falls ill when she is wet by the rain.so we went home without even playing in the beach.though i was fairly happy as i got to pet a few cats.i went to the libary a few times too.i spent most of my holidays studying about 4 hours some times more.it was the most boring holiday i ever had.....

holidays

i am janani.i am primary 6G.i am in the graduating class.i went to snow city during the holidays.it was freezing in snow city and felt like 50 airconditioners is in the room.i could barely feel my hands.it was such i relive when we get to go out.i also went to the cinemas to watch alvin and the chipmunks.i did not do anything much else.in the firsy day of school miss zarinah collected all the books.at reccess i met my friend mellissa.at assembly there was a talk about road safety.

the event which i cannot forget

the event which i cannot forget is when i got my first cat.my cat name is milky.i found her as a stray under my block.her coat was torn and she looked thin,so i took her home and fed her a saucer of milk.then the next day my mother and i brought her to the vet.she was underweight and very thin.a few weeks later after feeding her and caring for her,we brought her to te vet again.the vet said she was a picture of healt.now she has been living with me for two years

how did i spend my national day weekend

on the national day weekend i did nothing at all.it was the same as every day,doing homework,studying and the usual rotine.the only fun thing i did was making freinds with a new shy cat around my neighbour hood.

why do plants need nitrogen?

all plants need nitrogen to make animo acids,proteins and dna,but the nitrogen in the atmpsphere is not in a form that they can use.Other plants get the nitrogen they need from the soils or water in which they live mostly in the form of inorganic nitrate(NO3-).Nitrogen is a limitting factor for a plant growth.

i dont feel happy about my marks.i still coulg have done better.i am going to work harder for sa2.in the june holidays i am going to study very hard.

p5 camp

the p5 camy was fun,but i missed my parents alot.on the first day of camp was a disaster.it started rainig!we was stuck in something which was round for more than an hour.we were seperated into groups i was in group twelve which consist of 12 people and the rest were grouped into group 11.my group trainer told us to call him bumble bee.group 11's tranier name is mr mizi.then we played archery.it was fun but hard.then mr mizi told us that bumble bee's real name is elizibert.but bumble bee said that it was not true.he said that mizi's real name is maggie mee.we all had a good laugh.then we did abseiling.the traneir told us not to touch the rocks has it is very old.then we went on a nature walk.we had to go to the beach and collect rubbish.there were some stray dogs there.they were so cute.then we learned about the antlion.the antlion was a carnivor at young but becomes a vegitarian when older.then we went to play animal call.we have to listen to our team members.group 12's animal sound was a frog.we had to use our shirt to make a blind fold.then we slept at12.15am.but my friend and i did not sleep much.we were up telling ghost stories.my friends story was very interesting.she lived in a condominum and there were 3 fountains.the water would be turned of every night.but one day,even though the water was turned of,on of the fountains was still spurting out water.but the most odd thing was that the water was stained with blood!divinya,my friend,had saw what had happened.but besides her parent no one belived her.then the next night after the water was turned off,the fountain was still spurting water but this time the water was fully red!divinya woke her parents and her parent told the security guard.the security guard called the police and the police gave every one a bucket of that water for proof.but divinya sister opened the lid ,then after for a while her mother noticed.she saw divinya"s sister licking the red colour substense.but test shown that it was tomato sauce.i still do not know if divinya is telling the truth or not.the next day we did backwoods.we cooked orange egg and jumbo banana.then we went to challenge valley.then we went to the milo pond.it was very fun.then we went to general station.there will be alot of ropes and we have to through it with six people.it was very fun.then we did campfire preparation.we learend a loo song and a song about the canel in serinbun camp.when it was time for camp fire i was very excited.when they lighted up the camp fire i was amazed as it looked like fireworks.we had to do the cheer first.but unfortunatly after the cheer my eyelids kept drooping.so i missed out alot of things.but when i reached my dorm i was not even sleepy one it.so i had a hard time sleeping.then the next morning we had our breakfast and we did area cleaning.we had to clean the toilet.it had a very unplesent smell.then we made our journey back home.i was very delighted

the three days when miss zarinah was absent,was boring.on the first day we did maths.our relive teacher told us stories in the news.there was a young man.he sat next to a rough looking man.suddenly the rough looking man took out a saw and sawed the young mans head off!the other story was about a school boy who pointed his middle finger at the bus driver.but the bus driver turned out to be a police.there were three teachers on board the bus.one of them was mrs qua, our relive teacher.mrs qua did not let us play most of the games.

first day of term 2

i enjoyed my first day of term 2.but i had alot of trouble waking up.i was not used to waking up so early after the school holidays.iI arriaved at school 6.45.during class miss zarinah asked us to pass up our homeworks.a few people did not bring thier work.then we learned maths.the topic was product of fractions.it was very easy.but i first i did not understand.then misszarinah explained to the class how to do cross multiply.then i found it easy.
