Prism vs Pyramid

Prism
A right prism is a prism in which the joining edges and faces are perpendicular to the base faces. This applies if the joining faces are rectangle. If the joining edges and faces are not perpendicular to the base faces, it is called an oblique prism.

Pyramid
A pyramid is any three-dimensional polyhedron where the faces other than the base are triangular and converge on one point, called the apex. The base of a pyramid can be and polygon; it is typically a square or a triangle, leading to four or three non-base faces.
