Why is Elizabeth Choy famous

Elizabeth Choy is famous as she was a war hero during the Japanese Occupation and also the only woman member in the Legislative Council in 1951.She is also famous for posting as an artist's model for the famed sculptress,Dora Gordine.When she worked as a teacher,she soon became the principal of the Singapore School for the blind.(Please ignore the first post I made,it was an accident)
