Elizabeth Choy was a war heroine that help the british held in Changi prison. She supplied them with medicine and money but soon started to smuggle in radio parts for hidden receivers. She was regarded as a heroine as she help many POWs to survive in the prison, one of the prisoners husband, Sir Shenton Thomas, was especially grateful as Elizabeth sent medicine to his wife when she was sick and escorted her to witness the surrender of the Japanese.
