Why is Elizabeth Choy so famous?

She was famous because she was a war time hero during the japenese occupation.she was also the only woman in the legislative council in 1951.she also posed for a sculpture for the famous sculptress dora gordine.she worked as a teacher and was the first priciple for the school for the blind. She was also known for her qipaos and bangles, for which she was nicknamed "Dayak Woman of Singapore".
